Abstract
On 23 June 2023, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) reported on the celebratory event ‘30 years of HAIT’ and the evening lecture by Ilko-Sascha Kowalczuk. The lecture puts particular emphasis on the public debate surrounding the GDR and Eastern Germany, as well as the often overlooked academic analysis.
